I know wikipedia has limitations but sometimes it is just the thing I need to give me a fragment of information or a direction I want to follow in more detail. Tonight I decided to see how "young adult" is defined there. I had a blast reading about the history of the term and also the listing of books that some consider as YA was great reading. I am clearly writing the right book at the right time for me and the audience I would like to reach. I may never have an entry on the page as an author but I am grateful I am willing to write this book and take the risks involved in thinking and writing with 'young adults' in my heart and mind.
